    Hi, I check my gas valve resistance at top and bottom pin, it measures 54ohms.. have seen other video they had 104ohms.. so got worries that mine on way out, but when I seen that yours only measures 7ohms, I feel a bit better now as probably mine still alright 🙈 Is this normal that 3 different gas valves could have different resistance? Yours 7ohms, mine 54ohms, and another 104ohms.

    sir I have a question, this aqua signal ignites the gas boiler but is it a continous signal or just a one time ? the reason i am asking this is , i am doing a project and i have connected a electric heater to heat water but i dont want to run both heaters at same time and want to save my gas money so i figured if i just block this aqua signal , i can stop gas boiler from igniting ! so please if you reply it will be a huge help ! thanks in advance!!

    Absolutely stupid design. Just have a colourful screen with what each thing is rather than a bunch of codes. The new Worcester for example, u dont need to read manual,u can jus do whatever u need to rather than spending ages finding manual,looking thru manual for what each code is. Also, make max n min burner easily entered,so that engineers can get their job done quicker. Terrible so called “new” model. Take a look at vaillant’s menu. Ditch the “new”display that looks like 70’s calculator

  • @jubersarwar

    I had this exact issue. Boiler worked to heat house, but turning hot water tap wouldn't turn boiler on. A plumber Came, saw and said new boiler for £2200. Next plumber came, saw and said £400 to replace diverter valve. I got another plumber, who came and saw and then wouldn't tell me what was wrong, but quoted me £300 to fix the problem. Another two plumbers told me something similar. They wouldn't tell me what the problem was, what they would fix, but apparently they are guaranteeing that it would be repaired. Then I found this video. Parts cost me £4, job took me a handful of minutes, and all I used was a screwdriver. Thank you for this, it's saved me from getting fleeced by a string of sly plumbers.

  • @paulanderson7338
    @paulanderson7338 3 месяца назад

    There's a theory that the seals in the divertor valve are being compromised by inhibitor in the heating circuit. 4 year old Baxi 830, onto its third cartridge, leaking up through the plunger pin, same issue every time.

    The idea is to match the heat loss from the building…this can’t do that

    • @markjones1337
      @markjones1337 4 месяца назад

      No it isn't. Range rating to keep (the kettle from boiling) or gettingbto hot to quick it has to kill the flame. The room thermostat is what takes care the heat loss of the building, not range rating. Range rating can be though of as being gentle on the accelerator. If range rating there to match the builder thermal loss, (u valve) you'd ba able to tell me how to measure the U value. But you can't measure it, all you can do is guess/estimate the value based on largely untestable building fabric.

    • @paulstevens5329
      @paulstevens5329 4 месяца назад

      @@markjones1337 range rate is to adjust the appliance to match the maximum heat output required to match the heat loss of the building What are you talking about?

  • @robhamps
    @robhamps 4 месяца назад

    That's back to front. As the return temp increases the flow temp needs to drop.

    • @markjones1337
      @markjones1337 4 месяца назад

      No it doesn't, when the flow and return temps INSIDE the boiler are getting closer to equal the flame will shut off. All condensing boilers work best with a 22 degree difference between F and R. I bet you tell customers than the heat in the condensate is transferred back into the rads, because that's what all muppet heating engineers incorrectly think. It's modulation than make condensing boilers more efficient NOT recouping heat from condensation.
